Diocletian's Palace
Diocletian's Palace is one of the heritage sites in Split in Croatia and was built by the Roman emperor named Diocletian. This palace was built at the time of his retirement on 1st May 305 AD. It is situated in a bay, four miles away from Salona, which is the capital of Dalmatia.
The architecture of the palace is worth viewing and is made up of white limestone, of local origin. The quality of the marble was very good and was mainly brought from the island of Brac. Some other items that were used for decoration, was imported from Europe.

Hvar Fortress is situated on the hill top and is above an old town. This fortress was built at the beginning of 16th century. The fortress was restored after the explosion in 1579. Plitvice Lakes National Park
Visiting Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the things to do in Croatia, if you are an admirer of natural beauty. It is one of the famous tourist attractions and is declared as a world heritage sight by UNESCO. It is located between Zagreb and Zadar and the lakes are a must see.
The main attraction of the park is the sixteen lakes, which are interconnected with each other by a number of waterfalls. It is also a reserve forest, which houses animals of different kinds. You can hike the park or you can avail bus service, in order to have a look at the entire park.
