The small and densely populated island nation, Malta is an archipelago of seven islands all combined together in the Mediterranean Sea. This Southern European country lies to the south of Sicily, east of Tunisia, and north of Libya. Malta is a permanent member of the Commonwealth of Nations and is a member of the European Union since the year 2004. Malta has a mixed climatic condition with mild, rainy winters and hot, dry summers climate.
